When the new iPhone arrives next month, there will be a replacement of a very common feature in the legacy of its long history. The Home Button will be getting a replacement-according to wide-spread confirmations and rumors. So, basically, you will need to get accustomed to the new iPhone (X or 8) to make the most out of it. But the big question is-what will replace the ultimate ‘home button’?
As per the details provided, there will be a ‘swipe screen feature’, for performing all your common tasks. Since the phone will be an all-screen device on the front, it’s obvious that the home button won’t be making an appearance to make it anything but ‘odd-looking’.
Now, how will the swiping thing work on the new iPhone?
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman told:
Across the bottom of the screen there’s a thin, software bar in lieu of the home button. A user can drag it up to the middle of the screen to open the phone. When inside an app, a similar gesture starts multitasking. From here, users can continue to flick upwards to close the app and go back to the home screen. An animation in testing sucks the app back into its icon.
Also, going by the current rumors, as the upcoming iPhone will be using facial recognition to unlock it, and plus there will be a swipe screen feature too, the users, now, will be having a busy time in getting habitual, to practice its usage and doing various activities.
But, replacing the long-time companion the ‘Home Button’, will be no doubt, hard for probably every ‘loyal’ iPhone fan. But then, what’s best, has to arrive for good, for all!
