Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi in a collaboration with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan’s lifestyle brand HRX on Friday launched a new fitness tracker, called the “Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition” in the Indian market. Carried a price tag of Rs. 1,299, the Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition will be made available for purchase in India starting September 18 via Mi.com and Mi Home stores, and the same will be made available at select online stores including Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra on September 20. In addition to the band, Xiaomi is also offering a blue colour strap for a price tag of Rs. 299. The smart band will also be available for a preview sale at Curefit app and all Cult fitness centres from September 18 to September 20. The new Mi Band HRX Edition comes equipped with a wide range of new features that include a 0.42-inch OLED display, IP67 ratings for splash resistance, a decent battery, and an improved tracking algorithm to accurately monitor user’s activities. Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition will be available in Black colour with Black, Blue, Green and Orange coloured bands. Out of these 4 band hues, only the Black and Blue coloured bands will be available via Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Mi.com and Mi Home stores, while other shades will be available in India pretty soon.

Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition Specs and Features :
The Mi Band HRX Edition comes equipped with a 0.42-inch OLED display a scratch-resistant glass coating on top of the display. The OLED display allows the users to get useful information like notifications for phone calls, SMS, physical activity related information and the amount of calories consumed. The fitness band also has an improved pedometer algorithm for more accuracy in steps and exercise measurement. The Mi Band HRX Edition comes with a skin-friendly hypo-allergic silicone band which is comfortable to wear for longer periods of time.
The new Mi band HRX Edition is compatible with both operating systems Google Android (Android 4.4 or above) and Apple iOS (Apple iOS 7.0 or above). It comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. Compatible with both Android and iOS platform, the Mi band HRX Edition makes it possible to synchronise data with smartphone and tablet when paired with Bluetooth connection. It uses Bluetooth 4.0 LE to connect a smartphone or tablet with the wearable. The smart band sends notification alerts straight to the wrist when your phone is away and notifies you of app notifications when paired with the Mi Fit app. The band sports an ultra-light body and weighs only 7 grams. The Mi band HRX Edition is backed by a 70mAh lithium polymer battery that is rated to deliver up to 23 days of standby time (in comparison to 20 days of Mi band 2). The Mi Band 2 also comes with an OLED display, touch button, and heart rate monitor. Priced at Rs 1,999, the Mi Band 2 also comes with an IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. The main difference between the Mi Band 2 and Mi Band HRX Edition is that the new edition does not have the heart rate monitor.
