American technology company Microsoft has finally announced the launch of its latest and upgraded version of the original Xbox One, called the “Xbox One S” in the Indian home entertainment market. Carried a starting price of Rs. 29,990, the new Microsoft Xbox One S is now available for pre-order in the country from Amazon India, Flipkart and the select retail stores, while the same will be going on sale in India starting October 5 (Thursday) in Robot White colour option. Interestingly, those customers who pre-book a Microsoft Xbox One S console will also get two additional games – Gears of War 4 and Battlefield 1.

The device comes bundled with a 14-day trial membership of Xbox Live Gold. As an introductory offer, Microsoft is giving 14-day free Xbox Live Gold membership with the purchase of an Xbox One S gaming console. The Xbox One S comes in two variants based on its internal storage configuration: Xbox One S with 500GB native storage and Xbox One S with 1TB native storage. Both the variants will be available in the country at a price tag of Rs. 29,990 and Rs. 34,990 respectively.

The gaming console is 40 percent smaller than the original Xbox One, featuring a sleek, slim line design. It also comes with a newly designed Xbox Wireless Controller that features a textured handle for comfortable grip and delivers improved wireless signal performance and more reliable Bluetooth connectivity.

The Xbox One S comes with 4K Ultra HD support for playing Blu-ray movies and content streamed from partners like Netflix and Amazon Video. The new console also supports features like High Dynamic Range (HDR), and wide colour gamut to deliver richer and more luminous colours for a stunning visual experience in games. In terms of connectivity, the Xbox One S offers various connectivity options including three USB ports, Bluetooth, IR blaster, up to 1TB of storage, Xbox Kinect Adapter for USB connection and more.
