Taiwanese PC and Tablet manufacturer Asus has recently announced the launch of its two new notebooks – VivoBook S15 and ZenBook UX430 – at the company’s ‘Beyond The Edge’ event held in New Delhi. Both the new laptops come equipped with a full version of Windows 10 OS, bezel-less NanoEdge display, 8th generation Intel Core processor with dedicated NVIDIA graphics card. As for pricing, the Asus VivoBook S15 has been launched in the country with a starting price of Rs. 59,990, while the Asus ZenBook UX430 is priced at Rs. 74,990 for the base variant. Both the new notebooks are now already made available for purchase in India via the online channel partners as well as all major offline retail stores across the country. However, the VivoBook S15 is the latest and most stylish model in the Asus VivoBook Series, while the Asus ZenBook UX430 has been claimed as the ‘thinnest ever Zenbook’ from the Taiwanese vendor.

Asus VivoBook S15 Specifications and Features:
Starting with the Asus VivoBook S15, the VivoBook S15 comes with a 15.6-inch full-HD NanoEdge display with a screen resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and offers 178-degree wide viewing angle. The display has 7.8mm thin bezels and provides a stunning 80-percent screen-to-body ratio. The laptop sports an aluminium chassis and metallic Icicle Gold finish. Under the hood, the VivoBook S15 high-end variant is powered by the 8th generation Intel Core i7 U-series processor (Intel Core i7-8550U processor with a clock speed of 2.1GHz) coupled with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics for ultra-smooth and flawless visuals. In terms of storage, you can opt for a 1TB/2TB HDD, or upgrade to 128GB/512GB SSD for faster data access speeds and boot-up times. On the other hand, the VivoBook S15 base variant is powered by the 8th generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor. Talking about its software (OS), the Asus VivoBook S15 runs on Windows 10 64-bit version and features a fingerprint sensor on the trackpad for instant and one-touch authentication process with Windows Hello. Apart from this, the laptop also features an ergonomic backlit keyboard for comfortable working in dark environments.
In terms of connectivity, the Asus VivoBook S15 supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band) and Bluetooth v4.2. Ports on the laptop include one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.1 Type-A port, two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.0 port, one SD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone-out & audio-in combo jack. The Asus VivoBook S15 comes packed with a durable and long-lasting Lithium polymer battery that is rated to deliver up to 8 hours of battery backup on normal usage. Using its quick charging technology, the laptop can charge to 60 percent battery capacity in just 49 minutes. Dimension wise, the Asus VivoBook S15 measures at 361 x 243.5 x 17.9mm and weighs 1.7 kg.
Asus Zenbook UX430 Specifications and Features:
Moving on to the Asus Zenbook UX430, the Zenbook UX430 sports a 14-inch full-HD NanoEdge display with a screen resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels and offers 178-degree wide viewing angle. The display has 7.18mm minimal bezels and also provides an 80-percent screen-to-body ratio. Apart from this, the display has a matte anti-glare surface and offers 300 nits brightness with a 100 percent sRGB colour gamut. Talking about its power and performance, the Asus Zenbook UX430 is powered by up to 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor (2.1GHz clock speed) paired with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics. In terms of memory storage, the laptop comes with up to 512GB of SSD storage for faster booting and processing.
On the connectivity front, the Asus Zenbook UX430 also offers various connectivity options including Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band), Bluetooth 4.2, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB-C port, one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, one 3.5mm audio jack, one HDMI port, and one SD card reader. Other features on the device include a sandblasted metal keyboard and Harman Kardon tuned speakers with the company’s Smart Amp amplifying technology. The Asus Zenbook UX430 also packs a decent battery that is rated to offer up to 9 hours of battery life on normal usage. Dimensionally, the laptop is just 15.9mm thick and weighs only 1.25 kg.
