Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of a new mid-range smartphone, dubbed as the “Honor Holly 4” in the Indian tech market. Carried a price tag of Rs. 11,999, the new Honor Holly 4 will be made available for purchase in India starting today via all leading offline retail stores across the country in Grey, Gold and Silver colour options. The Honor Holly 4 comes bundled with earphones with an in-line remote, a 5V/1A charger, a standard USB-A to micro USB cable and a twelve-months service warranty. The main highlights of the smartphone are its all-metal unibody design, 13-megapixel rear camera, fingerprint sensor, and Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1 custom UI skin.
In terms of design, the mid-range Honor Holly 4 sports a metal unibody design with a metal frame all around, giving it an overall premium look. The smartphone also features onscreen navigation buttons and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, located just middle of the rear panel of the device. The rear-mounted fingerprint sensor also doubles up as multifunctional button, which can be configured to perform a variety of tasks like swiping through images in the gallery, disable the alarm, answering a call, taking photos, and among others. The volume up-down keys and the power/lock buttons are all placed on the right-hand edge of the device and a 3.5mm audio socket is placed on the very top edge of the smartphone. And speaker grille is seen at the bottom edge of the device along with a microUSB port sitting in the middle.

Coming to the specifications, the Honor Holly 4 flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor (4 x Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz and 4 x cores clocked at 1.1GHz) coupled with Adreno 505 image processing unit. In terms of memory, the phone comes loaded with a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. Talking about its software fronts, the dual-SIM Honor Holly 4 runs company’s proprietary EMUI 5.1 custom UI skin, based on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The smartphone comes with a premium metal unibody design and features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for the biometric authentication process.
In terms of photography, the Honor Holly 4 comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), and an LED flash. The rear camera features also include Timelapse, Slow motion, Pro Video, and Pro picture. Talking about its selfie camera, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with a beautification mode for capturing selfies and making video calls.
On the Connectivity front, the device supports dual SIM dual standby, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v4.1, USB OTG, and a microUSB v2.0 port for charging and other connectivity. On the battery front, the Honor Holly 4 is fuelled by a decent 3,020mAh battery. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Fingerprint (rear-mounted) sensor, and Proximity sensor. Dimensionally, the handset measures 143.7 x 70.95 x 8.2mm and weighs 144 grams.
