Chinese handset manufacturer and also a new contender in the Indian smartphone industry Comio Mobiles on Wednesday expanded its product portfolio with the launch a new budget-friendly smartphone, dubbed as the ‘Comio C2’ in the Indian market. If you don’t remember, the Chinese original device manufacturer (ODM), Topwise Communication entered the Indian smartphone market with the launch of its three new budget-oriented smartphones, namely Comio P1, Comio S1 and Comio C1. All these three smartphones was launched in the country under its Comio brand. However, carried a price tag of Rs. 7,199, the new Comio C2 will be available for purchase in India via all leading offline retail stores across North and West India as well as all e-commerce website including Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, ShopClues and Paytm in Royal Black and Royal Blue colour options. The Comio C2 is a new member of the company’s “C” series that we have seen the recently launched Comio C1 with 4G VoLTE support and now the Comio C2 can be considered as a toned-down version of the Comio C1.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, CEO and Director, Comio India, said, “With the launch of Comio ‘C2’, we are moving towards the vision of becoming leaders in the Rs 6k-10K (mid-segment). The ‘C2’ has been designed keeping the Indian smartphone user in mind, one who is looking for a fully loaded handset at an affordable price point.”
As part of an introductory offer, the company also giving some offers on the purchase of Comio C2 smartphone. Launch offers on the smartphone include one-time screen replacement warranty, 1 year + 100 additional days of manufacturer warranty, and 30-days of replacement and buyback offer. Under the offers, customers will get an assured 40% return on their existing Comio phones. Apart from this, the Chinese smartphone maker has also made a partnership with Reliance Jio to offer 5GB of additional 4G data with a recharge of Rs. 309 and above.
Comio C2 Specifications and Features:
In terms of specifications, the Comio C2 comes equipped with a 5-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MTK6737 quad-core processor, clocked at 1.3GHz. In terms of memory, the Comio C2 is backed up by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. On the software front, the Comio C2 runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Comio custom UI skin running on top.
In terms of optics, the Comio C2 houses an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and a single LED flashlight. On the front, the device features an another 8-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera with an LED flash module for capturing bright selfies even in low-light situations.
On the connectivity front, the dual-SIM supported Comio C2 offers various connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and other connectivity. On the battery front, the Comio C2 comes packed with a high-density 4,000mAh battery. Sensors on the smartphone include an Accelerometer, Ambient Light sensor and Proximity sensor. Apart from these specifications, the Comio C2 also comes preloaded with some security solutions including Antivirus, Anti-theft, and Clone applications.
