Making a film is not a piece of cake and consists of a lot of hard work and secrets. There are a lot of things that happen while shooting a film. Some are revealed for publicity and some remain the lesser knowns.
And one such lesser-known facts are the titles of the films. While shooting a film the director may decide a name but by the time the film is finished he may come up with something much better and suitable. This leads to change in the title of these films.

1. Jai Ram Ji Ki
‘Bullet Raja’ was named as ‘Jai Ram Ji Ki’. While ‘Bullet Raja’ suits the title perfectly ‘Jai Ram Ji Ki’ on the other hand is not that appealing.
2. Short Term Shaadi
‘Ekk Main Hoon Aur Ekk Tu’ was to be released with the title ‘Short Term Shaadi’ but then the directors changed the title.
3. Finding Fanny Fernandez
‘Finding Fanny Fernandez’ was later on shortened to just ‘Finding Fanny’.
4. Punjab Express
Imtiaz Ali decided to name his super hit film ‘Jab We Met’ as ‘Punjab Express’. But no matter what the name would have been, the movie would still be one of our favorites.
5. Aman Ki Asha
‘Total Siyapaa’ was named as ‘Aman Ki Asha’ but then the directors must have realized that the name will not be able to appeal the audience.
6. Once upon a time in Mumbai 2
‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara’ was earlier named as ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2’.The difference in the title is not much.
7. Rambo Rajkumar
The actual name of the movie was ‘Rambo Rajkumar’ but it was later on changed to ‘R… Rajkumar’.
8. Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum
Yash Chopra’s last movie as a director was ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. It was earlier named after a song ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ from the film ‘Silsila’ which was also directed by Yash Chopra.
9. Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum
‘Veer Zaara’ was also directed by Yash Chopra but not many people know that it was supposed to be named as ‘Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum’.
10. Tum Hi Ho
The very beautiful sad, romantic movie ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ was originally named as ‘Tum Hi Ho’.
11. Ram Leela
The epic movie ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela… Ramleela’ was earlier named as ‘Ram Leela’ only. Later on, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela’ was added in the title as per the storyline.
12. Saali Kuttiya
The movie starring Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan ‘Katti Batti’ was originally titled as ‘Saali Kuttiya’.
13. Elastic
‘Love Aaj Kal’ was originally named as ‘Elastic’. But the directors must have felt the need to change the name and hence it was changed to ‘Love Aaj Kal’.
14. Window Seat
Again one of Imtiaz Ali’s best creations ‘Tamasha’ was named as ‘Window Seat’.
15. Running With The Bulls
Listed as one of the iconic movies is Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. The original title of this film was ‘Running With The Bulls’. The title ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ was picked out from ‘Rock On’.
16. Khan
One of Karan Johar’s artistic creations was ‘My Name Is Khan’ but the original name of the film was just ‘Khan’. KJo must have felt that ‘Khan’ is probably not a very suitable title.
17. Mental
‘Jai Ho’ was first to be released as ‘Mental’ but later on, this name was changed. The movie was set to be released on the Indian Republic Day in 2014 and the title ‘Jai Ho’ was spot on as per the occasion.
