One of the biggest films coming out this year and in less than four days, the hype surrounding Vijay’s action thriller Mersal is quite evident. With only two theatres in Chennai having begun issuing tickets under the advance bookings format, fans are waiting with bated breath for the rest of the multiplexes and single screens to follow suit so they can grab that elusive ticket for the film’s first day first show.
Many have been pondering as to why there is a delay in issuing the tickets with fans calling up theatres to check when the bookings will begin. Some others are posting queries across the respective theatre’s social media pages regarding the issuing of Mersal‘s tickets.
Now, Archana Kalpathi, the CEO of AGS Cinemas, also a hardcore Vijay fan tweeted a short while back revealing the reason for the delay in issuing the tickets. She said, “We are waiting for the Government order to decide ticket price and open bookings Will keep you updated on social media. #Mersal #Diwali”.
As known to all by now, new ticket prices for theatres were announced a while back and the Government Order is expected to come across to the distributors soon, who will then carry forward with the advance bookings duties.
