Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi on Wednesday launched a new Red colour variant of its latest flagship dual camera smartphone, Xiaomi Mi 5X in the Chinese tech market. To recall, the company introduced its latest Xiaomi Mi 5X smartphone in China in July, along with its latest custom UI (user-interface), MIUI 9. The Xiaomi Mi 5X was first launched in China in three body colour options including Gold, Black, and Rose Gold. Now, the Chinese vendor has launched a new Red colour Xiaomi Mi 5X, christened as the “Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition” in the company’s homeland, China. With the new Red shade, the Xiaomi Mi 5X will now be available in four attractive body colour options including Red, Gold, Black, and Rose Gold colour options.
Carried a price tag of CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 14,300), the new Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition is now available for pre-order in China, while the same will be going on sale in China starting November 1 via the company’s official website Mi.com and other offline retail stores across the country. Unfortunately, the company has made no official announcements about the pricing details and availability of the Xiaomi Mi 5X Special Edition for other markets including India. Apart from its paint job, the rest specifications and features are same to same as we have seen in the other existing Xiaomi Mi 5X models or variants.
