The High Court of Kerala has granted permission to Malayalam actor Dileep to travel to Dubai regarding his business commitments for four days. The actor was arrested few months back after he was accused in the abduction of a popular Malayalam actress.

Justice Sunil Thomas ordered the release of Dileep’s passport for six days after he had made a plea. However, the prosecution opposed the actor’s plea stating he could still influence the witnesses.

Dileep had requested the court to return his passport in his petition so he could attend to the inaugural proceedings of his new restaurant in Dubai. It must be noted that the actor had been granted bail on October 3, nearly 85 days after his arrest. This was before the court ordered his arrest on July 10 followed by the confiscation of his passport and a bail bond of Rs. 1 lakh to be paid along with two solvent sureties for the like amount. In addition, he had been ordered to cooperate with the investigating officers and appear whenever required.

Despite the order coming in that he can leave today (November 21), the court has asked Dileep to submit the residential address in Dubai following which he should surrender his passport within six days once again.
