It is a story of a small-town young woman named Bidisha whose dream to be an actress took her to the muddy world. The girl who in her journey experiences love and despair in the same breath and find herself between possession and obsession, subconscious sexuality and the realms of sexual obsession badly.
The trailer starts showing the center of attention Bidisha Chatterjee at the glitzy Kolkata Film Awards Function where she bagged the award in the category of Best Female Actor. But the proud and the happiness of receiving the award was missed from her face. Bidisha leaves the theatre in the backseat of her glitzy new car with twin award trophies in her hand and in the nostalgia of Baharampore, the place of her birth where a young college student has just received an offer through a letter from a Kolkata film producer.
Bidisha after convincing her family and boyfriend lands up in Kolkata but the Kolkata tightrope is beginning to strangle her. On the other hand, the producer is also getting frustrated with her in compliance and decides to let her go. Then the destiny introduced her to Ashutosh Sen and she suddenly has a way out.
Ashutosh Sen, a successful advertisement, and corporate filmmaker was looking for fresh faces for his new project and found Bidisha perfect for the role. During the pre-production processes the real and reel romances intermingle in the shooting locales and their romance sees the next level. They got married and there unveiled the third angle of the story, Maya who changes the entire plotline of the story.
The story ‘SABUJ ANDHAKAR’ shows Bidisha’s journey; from her initial strife with her family to the city with its North Kolkata boarding house and the film producers flashy offices and murky intentions. With the advent of Ashutosh and Maya in Bidisha’s life.
