Ok Jaanu finally released its trailer on 12th December. The much-awaited romcom featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor has been creating hype since. By the looks of the trailer, viewers are set for a fun joy ride surrounding the Aashiqui 2 duo.
Following the trend of Befikre’s carefree, young love, Ok Jaanu shows a similar storyline. The movie revolves around two people who try their hand at a live-in relationship without any commitment. The catch: they both leave the country to their separate ways when they realise their love for each other. Aditya Roy Kapoor is the embodiment of a goofy,
free-spirited guy who can add the charm to this kind of plot. Similarly, Shraddha has proved to be much more than a pretty face, showcasing dominant, independent women in the teasers. The movie is said to have the perfect amount of fun, love and heartbreak to engross the audience.
Ok Jaanu is the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam’s Ok Kanmani in Tamil which released in April 2015. Although we do have our doubts if director Shaad Ali will be successful enough to imitate the maestro’s work, we know for sure that Ok Jaanu is going to be very entertaining. With all the amazing scores by music guru AR Rahman, one is sure to expect good soulful music from this film.
Ok Jaanu is set to release on 13th January, 2017.
