Lastly, but not lately, the biggest superhero movie in history, Marvel Studios’s Avengers: Infinity War has gone past the mark of $2 billion, globally! The film has just recently crossed the magical barrier and has become the fourth film in history to do so. Infinity War has now also become the most successful MCU film, in its 10 years history.
Before Infinity War, only three films have achieved the feat of grossing $2 billion or more, and they are, Avatar ($2.78 billion), Titanic ($2.18 billion) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.068 billion).
The 19th MCU flick has also become the third most grossing movie overseas, collecting an estimated $1.346 billion! Domestically too, the film is doing wonders and has so far taken in around or above $654.5 million.
Infinity War has also made the record of grossing $2 billion in just 48 days of its release in theaters!
Avengers 3 is directed by the Russo brothers, Joe and Anthony, and stars Josh Brolin, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland, Chris Pratt and Chadwick Boseman among others.
The film is still running steadily in theaters. Now, everyone will be keen to see whether the film becomes the third highest grossing movie or not, by going past Star Wars: The Force Awakens’s collection.
