The Chris Pratt-Bryce Dallas Howard starrer Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom earned around $144 million at the box-office this weekend! It earned $54 million on Friday, while Thursday had already brought in a hefty $15.3 million in previews, earlier. The Universal Pictures/Comcast distributed film opened two weeks ago and has so far grossed around $466 million internationally.

The film is the sequel to 2015’s reboot film in Jurassic World franchise, Jurassic World.

The flick is directed by JA Bayona, while story has been written by Colin Trevorrow, who helmed the first part, which was produced by Steven Spielberg.

Meanwhile, Jurassic World 2 is competing extraordinarily against the other box-office contenders at the moment, namely Incredibles 2, Deadpool 2 and of course, Avengers: Infinity War. The reviews and reception by critics have been mixed and not very incredible, but the audiences are going to theaters to watch the dinosaurs! That has surely worked as a big factor in the fast growing collections.

Apart from Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the film also stars Jeff Goldblum, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda and B.D Wong.

But surely, it seems unlikely, that the film will reach anywhere near to the collections of its predecessor.
