Android 8.0 is now official as Android Oreo. The operating system was earlier known as Android O but on Monday night, Google has announced through a “live stream” the latest version of the Android. Google also showed a short clip that first showed the O in Android O and after it changed to the Oreo. It used solar eclipse also in its video showing its cleverness as the last night there was Solar Eclipse in the US.
Google said that the update of Android 8.0 will be provided to all the compatible mobile phones but first it will start providing with Google’s own Pixel Phones. Android O will be available for Google Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Google Pixel XL, Google Pixel and Nexus Player, Google said. All the devices that are enrolled in the Beta program will automatically get this update, added the company.
By weekday morning, the update of Oreo was rolling bent on folks who had earlier installed the beta version of Android O.
