Acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao passed away couple of days back on May 30 and last heard, there were reports stating he was on the verge off beginning work on his biopic on Tamil Nadu’s former Chief Minister Late. J. Jayalalithaa.

That said, a fresh news is now doing the rounds stating the legendary director had plans to cast a big South Indian name for the role of the iconic political leader. It is now being reported Dasari Narayana Rao was interested in casting actress Anushka Shetty feeling only she would be able to pull off the role convincingly and that she had it all to deliver a top-notch performance.

As a result of his death now, that idea remains not pitched to the Baahubali 2 actress. Meanwhile, it is now believed Mohan Babu might step in to take the reins of the project and dedicate it to the celebrated filmmaker. However, this is still too early and only an official statement will provide a clear outlook on the gist of things related to the project.
