The schedule for the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been revealed by the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India.This edition of IPL like the previous one will feature 8 teams.The tournament will kick off on 5th April in Hyderabad, while the finals will be played at Rajiv Gandhi Intl. Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad on 21st May.
Indian Premier League is one of the biggest franchise-based event in the world and the biggest in cricket. People across the world love to see the likes of AB De Villiers, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and Mitchell Starc in competing together against other teams.
Kings XI Punjab have chosen Mohali and Indore as their home ground while Gujarat Lions have picked Rajkot and Kanpur as their bases. Dharamshala and Raipur are the two venues which miss out in the list this time . Jaipur too didn’t get the nod, owing to the absence of home base.
Teams like Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions will be itching to make a mark which they were unable to do last time. Teams will get a chance to get their combinations right in the auction on 20th February (Monday). As many as 351 players will go under the hammer.
