With the launch of its two new recharge plans, the State-owned telecom operator is aggressively going to compete against its rival telecom operators — Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel and others. In the Indian telecom industry, the entry of Reliance Jio is a great momentum behind the new-age price war. Reliance Jio has changed the entire telecom scenario with its highly affordable tariff plans and forced the other telecom giants to reduce their data and calling rates. To counter Reliance Jio’s business strategy, other leading telecom operators have already updated their prepaid and postpaid plans by launching highly affordable tariff and combo plans in the Indian market.
A few days ago, Bharti Airtel also launched a new Rs. 199 plan, where the company offers its prepaid subscribers unlimited voice calling to any network and any region (Local + STD) in the country, along with 1GB of 2G / 3G / 4G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 28 days.
On the other hand, Idea Cellular also launched a similar kind of recharge plan at Rs. 198. Idea Rs. 198 recharge plan offers its prepaid subscribers unlimited voice calling (all network Local + STD + Roaming calls) and 1GB of 2G / 3G / 4G (depending on the circle) mobile internet data per day with a validity of 28 days.
Earlier this week, British telecom operator Vodafone also introduced a new Rs. 195 plan for its prepaid customers. Under this recharge plan, Vodafone prepaid subscribers recharging with Rs. 195 can avail free unlimited voice calling (all network Local + STD) and 1GB of 2G/3G/4G (depending on the circle) data for a period of 28 days.
