Taiwanese computer hardware company Asus on Monday announced its five exciting new notebooks at Computex tech conference event 2017 in Taipei. These new range of notebooks include a ZenBook 3 Deluxe, claimed to be world’s thinnest 14-inch laptop; a ZenBook Pro, claimed to be the thinnest, lightest and most powerful device ever; a ZenBook Flip S, dubbed as the world’s thinnest convertible laptop. Beside these devices, Asus has also introduced two new VivoBook mainstream laptops including VivoBook Pro and an affordable variant of the VivoBook Pro version, the VivoBook S 15, designed for premium multimedia experiences. The company says that the all-new laptop lineup offers a range of new Windows 10 features such as Windows Hello, Windows Ink, Cortana, and Modern Standby.
As for pricing, the Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe will be made available for purchase at a starting price of $1,199 (approximately Rs. 77,400), the Asus ZenBook Pro will be going on sale at a starting price of $1,299 (approximately Rs 83,800), the Asus ZenBook Flip S convertible laptop will go on sale at a starting price of $1,099 (approximately Rs. 70,800), the Asus VivoBook Pro will be made available for purchase at a starting price of $799 (approximately Rs. 51,500), and the Asus VivoBook S 15 will be retailing at a price tag of $499 (approximately Rs. 32,200).
Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe specifications and features:
Starting with the Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe specifications, the Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe (UX490) comes with a 14-inch full-HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. The ZenBook 3 Deluxe has 7.46mm slim bezel with a Gorilla Glass 5 glass protection on the display. The ZenBook 3 Deluxe is powered by the new 7th generation Intel Core i7 U-series processor coupled with up to 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM and 1TB of PCIe SSD. For connectivity, the device sports two 2x Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, which allow support for 40Gbps data transfers, and dual 4K UHD external display. Talking about its software fronts, ZenBook 3 Deluxe runs on Windows 10 64-bit version and comes packed with a fingerprint sensor for biometric login. The laptop also comes with a full-sized backlit keyboard, a glass-cover trackpad, and Harman™ Kardon certified quad-speaker audio system. The Asus ZenBook 3 Deluxe measures 12.9mm thin and weighs only 1.1kgs.
Asus ZenBook Pro specifications and features:
On the other hand, the lightest and most powerful device, Asus ZenBook Pro (UX550) sports a 15.6-inch 4K UHD touchscreen display. The Asus ZenBook Pro UX550 laptop sports an all-aluminum unibody design and has 7.3mm slim bezel, 18.9mm body thickness and 1.8kgs light. Asus ZenBook Pro also sports the company’s iconic spin-metal finish with diamond-cut silver edges, and illuminated lid logo. The Asus ZenBook Pro (UX550) is powered by the new 7th generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor (2.8GHz to 3.8GHz, 6MB cache) coupled with up to 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe x4 SSD. The 2017 ZenBook Pro comes with an NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti graphics and 4GB of GDDR5 video memory for powerful performance and flawless visuals. Ports on the device include two USB 3.0 connections and two Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports, one full-size HDMI 1.4 port. Both Type-C ports supporting the Thunderbolt 3 specs (up to 40 Gbps data transfers, and dual 4K UHD external display). Using its quick charging technology, the laptop can charge to 60 percent battery capacity in just 49 minutes.
Asus ZenBook Flip S specifications and features:
According to Asus chairman Jonney Shih, the Asus ZenBook Flip S is the world’s thinnest convertible laptop. It measures a total thickness of just 10.9mm and weighs only 1.1kgs. The key highlight of the Asus ZenBook Flip S is its 360-degree ErgoLift hinge with dual-action mechanism, that allows to use your Flip S in a variety of different positions. You can lift and tilt the keyboard into the typing position. The Asus ZenBook Flip S sports a 13.3-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) multi-touch “NanoEdge” display and supports an active stylus pen. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor for one-touch login with Windows Hello process in either a tablet or a traditional laptop mode. The ZenBook Flip S is powered by a 7th generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor along with up to 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM and up to 1TB PCIe x4 SSD storage. The 2017 Asus VivoBook Pro 15 (N580) sports a 15.6-inch 4K UHD (3840×2160 pixels) display with wide-view technology. The Windows-10 powered machine comes equipped with a powerful Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad-core processor paired with up to 16GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti graphics for flawless visuals. In terms of memory, it offers hybrid storage with up to a 512GB SSD and 2TB HDD storage. The VivoBook Pro also sports a dual-fan cooling system within its 19.2mm-thick aluminium body. Other features on the device include Asus Pen, Harman™ Kardon certified dual-speaker audio system, and fingerprint sensor for instant Windows Hello authentication process.

Finally, the VivoBook S (S510) features a 15.6-inch display and the company says the VivoBook S15 especially designed for busy workers. The Asus VivoBook S15 sports an all-aluminum unibody design and has 17.9mm body thickness and 1.5kgs light. The device is powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor with up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA® GeForce® 940MX graphics for better visual experience. In terms of memory, the affordable variant of the VivoBook Pro offers hybrid storage with up to a 512GB SSD and 2TB HDD storage. Other features on the device include backlit keyboard and Windows Hello authentication process. Talking about its software fronts, VivoBook S (S510) also runs on Windows 10 64-bit version.
