According to some confirmation of valid sources, it’s been revealed that La La Land star actress Emma Stone had been considered to play the ‘main villain’ in Wonder Woman 2! Yes, you heard that right. But, it’s not the complete story. It was later clarified that Emma Stone reportedly turned down the opportunity!
The sequel to last year’s revolutionary blockbuster superhero film will be directed by Patty Jenkins.
Earlier it was also revealed by the makers that the main villain in Wonder Woman 2 will be Cheetah. And the villain’s mantle has been held by multiple female characters in the DC comics. But the present character to become the Cheetah is Barbara Ann Minerva.
Minerva is a British anthropologist who becomes the avatar of the cheetah god after locating the lost city of Urzkartagan and stumbling into the middle of an ancient ritual. It could have been a great thing for Emma Stone to become the part of big film like Wonder Woman and that too playing the main villain! But, she turned the offer down.
Wonder Woman 2 is said to be set in 1980s where Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman may reunite with her lover Steve Trevor to take on the former Soviet Union.
The shooting for WW 2 will possibly start from May, according some sources.
