Soon after launching the Rs. 449 First Recharge tariff plan for the Jammu & Kashmir circle, Indian mobile network operator Aircel on Saturday introduced an affordable First Recharge plan, called the “FRC 419” for the residents of North East circle. The First Recharge Coupon 419 offers its new prepaid subscribers or new Aircel SIM buyers unlimited voice calling (any network Local + STD) and 2GB 3G/2G data per day with a validity of 84 days. Under this “FRC 419” first recharge scheme, new Aircel subscribers recharging with Rs. 419 can avail free unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 2GB of 3G or 2G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 84 days, totalling 168GB 3G/2G data for the period.
Note that, FRC 419 is a First Recharge Coupon that means only new subscribers can avail this FRC scheme. Besides this, the company also confirmed that all Aircel subscribers with 2G, 3G or 4G-enabled handsets can avail this offer and enjoy the company’s “best” value data proposition in the circle. Compared to other telecom operators offers, they are almost similar, but Aircel provides 1GB extra data than other telecom operators for 84 days. Airtel data plan is restricted to 2G & 3G speed only, while Reliance Jio’s benefit works only on 4G network.
Commenting on the new FRC plan launch, Nilaj Mahalanavis, Circle Operations Head, North East region, Aircel, said, “Aircel has always laid focus on catering to the customer needs offering maximum value in its products and services. The new plans are a special offering of unlimited voice calls and unmatched 3G data which will empower our customers especially students and working professionals to stay connected the whole day and get an uninterrupted access to the internet with the best value for money products and enjoy the unexplored world of videos, music, movies and entertainment.”
A few days ago, Aircel also announced an affordable First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 348 for the Uttar Pradesh (East) subscribers. The First Recharge Coupon 348 offers its prepaid subscribers unlimited voice calling (Local & STD) and 1GB 3G data per day for 84 days. New Aircel SIM buyers recharging with Rs. 348 can avail free unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 2G or 3G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 84 days, totalling 84GB 3G data for the period. And now it seems like the Aircel is finally gearing up to compete against its rival telecom operators — Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone India, and others.
Needless to say, in the Indian telecom industry, the “disruptive” entry of Reliance Jio is a great momentum behind the new-age price war. Last month, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio revised its “Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan” offer with a new Rs. 399 recharge pack and Rs. 509 recharge pack. Under Reliance Jio’s new Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, Jio Prime members recharging with Rs. 399 can avail free unlimited voice calling, SMSes, along with 1GB 4G mobile data per day for a period of 84 days (total 84GB data). On the other hand, Rs. 509 recharge pack offers its Prime subscribers free unlimited voice calling, SMSes, and 2GB 4G mobile data per day for a period of 56 days (total 56GB data), instead of 84 days under the earlier offer.
The news comes just three days after Vodafone announced a new First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 445 for the Maharashtra & Goa subscribers. The First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 445 offers its new prepaid customers unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 3G or 4G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 84 days, totalling 84GB 3G/4G data for the period.
Apart from this, there is also a recharge plan called FRC 244, where the company offers its new 4G pre-paid customers unlimited voice calling (same network Local + STD) and 1GB of 3G/4G data per day with a validity period of 70 days, totalling 70GB 3G/4G data for the period. This scheme will be valid for a period of 70 days on the first recharge with the amount of Rs. 244, and from the second recharge, the validity span will be reduced to 35 days with the same amount.
