The sequel to 2013’s hit comedy movie has returned in a storming style and what a comeback it’s been! Fukrey Returns has proven to be a rock-solid entertainer at the domestic box-office with a magnificent opening weekend.
Directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, the movie brings back the four popular characters from the first part, having actors Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadda, Ali Fazal, and Priya Anand in lead roles.
The film had a fabulous opening week, earning Rs.32.20 crore in three days!
On the very first day itself, on Friday, the film did a surprisingly good business of around Rs.8.10 crore and went even more strong on Saturday and Sunday.
With this, Fukrey Returns is just about to break the first Fukrey’s lifetime box-office collection of around Rs.36.50 crore, in a couple of days!
Though, the film has not impressed the critics that much, audiences were waiting for the return of all the characters of the first film, and that’s the main reason why the second film is doing so well!
