Shenzhen-based smartphone manufacturer Gionee on Friday launched its Gionee S10 flagship smartphone series in the Chinese tech market. The new Gionee S10 comes in three variants – Gionee S10, Gionee S10B, and Gionee S10C. The Gionee S10 has been launched in China at a price tag of CNY 2,599 (approximately Rs. 24,500), the Gionee S10B is priced at CNY 2,199 (approximately Rs. 20,650) and if you want to purchase its smaller version Gionee S10C, you have to pay CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 15,000). The regular Gionee S10 and S10C will be made available for purchase from June 9 (Friday), while the S10B model is available starting from today in China.
The Gionee S10 is the successor to company’s previously announced Gionee S9, which was released in November last year. The major highlight of the new Gionee S10 is its 16MP+ 8MP rear camera setup along with 20MP+ 8MP front-facing camera setup to ensure the device is capable of capturing excellent selfie and groufie as well as BOKEH effect photos from both shooters. The differences between the Gionee S10 and Gionee S10B, S10C are its screen size, internal storage capacity, and battery power.
In terms of design, the Gionee S10 series sport a metal unibody design with a metal frame all around giving them an overall premium look. Basically, the Gionee S10 looks very similar the Apple iPhone 7 Plus, including the horizontal rear-side dual camera arrangement. The new Gionee S10 also feature capacitive navigation buttons and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, that is housed underneath the Home Button of the device. The volume rockers as well as the power/lock buttons are placed on the right-hand edge of the smartphones and a 3.5mm audio socket is placed on the bottom edge of the devices. The speaker grilles are seen at the bottom edge of the handsets along with a USB Type-C port sitting in the middle. Gionee S10, Gionee S10B, and Gionee S10C smartphones sport a similar design except their screen size, some specifications, native storage and battery.
