A GoAir aircraft made an emergency landing at Delhi on Tuesday morning, following engine issues. More than 180 passengers were on board the New Delhi- bound flight from Mumbai (G8 329).

GoAir has said that the Airbus A320 Neo landed safely.

“Due to a technical snag in the air bleed system, the flight commander had to reduce the power of the left engine. He requested for emergency assistance during landing,” said a statement by GoAir.

It said that the aircraft landed safely at 8.06am with 183 passengers.

GoAir also added that the aircraft had been cleared for operations. Following initial inspection, the engine problem was rectified by replacing an engine component.

This is the second incident of a GoAir flight making an emergency landing.  Last Wednesday, another GoAir A-320 Neo had a fire scare on one of its P&W engines when it took off from Delhi for Bangalore. The aircraft G8-557 ,had last Wednesday witnessed engine failure and returned to make an emergency landing in Delhi.
