Warner Bros. must be feeling elated at the moment, with its every movie this year becoming a box-office success. Whether its Wonder Woman, Annabelle: Creation, Dunkirk, Kong: Skull Island and eventually, ‘IT.’
The Andy Muschietti supernatural horror directorial is now inching towards a new record which has been touched by four other movies, this year. The Pennywise clown’s horrific turn is making no mistake in leaving anyone not-afraid, by taking over the worldwide, as well as domestic box-office.
IT has so far taken in, around $291 million in the US alone, entering into its fifth week. And now if it crosses the mark of $300 million (which is certain that it will, in a few days), then it will become the 5th movie to do so in 2017, domestically.
With a worldwide total of around $553.1 million, IT is ruling currently all the markets and in some its yet to be released. So, there’s more to it, than expected.
Other US flicks to go past the mark of $300 MN and ultimately rule the domestic box-office in 2017, are:
1 Beauty and the Beast ($504MN)
2 Wonder Woman ($412 MN)
3 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 ($389 MN)
4 Spider-Man: Homecoming ($332 MN)
