Saaho, the upcoming sci-fi action thriller starring Prabhas in the lead role received a massive response when the film was announced earlier this year.
Being directed by Sujeeth under the UV Creations banner at an estimated 150 crore budget, Saaho has a bevy of stars attached to the project. Post the success of his Baahubali films, Prabhas will be seen opposite Bollywood beauty Shraddha Kapoor followed by Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arun Vijay, Chunky Pandey among others with a musical score by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
That said, the makers of Saaho yesterday unveiled the first look featuring Prabhas. The image started trending within minutes and soon after responses both positive as well as negative started pouring in.
Although many appreciated the decision to not reveal too much in the first look, a few noted that the poster drew resemblance to a recent Hollywood blockbuster.
Saaho‘s first look had Prabhas walking down a road and half of his face covered with a cloth amidst high rise buildings and smoke all around in the background. The image was compared to Ryan Gosling in the recent Blade Runner 2049 with some stating it was copied while others claimed it could have been inspired and few stating it was just a mere coincidence.
Whether it was copied, inspired or a coincidence will be known when the film hits screens in 2018.
