David Dhawan’s directorial and starring his own son, Varun in the lead role, playing twin brothers, Judwaa 2 is going unexpectedly strong! After opening with a higher number than Jab Harry Met Sejal (Rs.15.25 crore), on its first day (collecting Rs.16.10 crore), the comedy-action movie has even outshined its first day total, by going beyond 20 crore mark on day 2! Judwaa 2 earned around Rs.20.55 crore on Saturday. So brings the current total to Rs.36.65 crore.
The film revolves around two brothers Prem and Raja (both played by Varun) who are kind of, act in a same kind of manner whenever each of him is doing something. If one kisses someone, other one will also be doing a similar kind of behavior with anyone else-wherever in the world they are, no matter. The comedy flick also stars Taapsee Pannu as Samaira and Jacqueline Fernandez as Aliksha Bakshi. Others include Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav and Upasana Singh.
The film, though being penned down by critics (mostly), is performing oppositely to their expectations! May be its due to the festive mood that has compelled many people to go out for spending time watching new flicks. It is basically a remake of Salman Khan’s 1997 movie of the same title (except that it was just Judwaa, not 2-jokes apart)
But still, Judwaa 2 is yet to cross some more barriers to see itself become one of the highest grossers of the year.
Already released on 29th September, Judwaa 2 is currently running successfully in the theatres.
