To recall, Home-grown handset manufacturer Kult launched their first Android smartphone, Kult 10 back in December 2015. Now almost two years later, Indian based company Kult on Friday expanded its budget-oriented smartphone portfolio with the launch of a new Android smartphone, called the “Kult Beyond” in the Indian tech market. Priced at Rs. 6,999, the new Kult Beyond 4G-enabled smartphone will be made available for purchase in India starting August 18 (Friday) exclusively via e-commerce website Amazon India in Black colour option. The smartphone is now listed on Amazon’s website for registrations and will go on sale in India starting 18th August. The main highlights of the smartphone are its 13MP front and rear cameras, latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS and dual selfie-flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Kult Beyond comes equipped with a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor which is coupled with a 650Hz Mali-T720 MP1 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the device is backed up by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. On the software front, the Kult Beyond runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box.

In terms of photography, the Kult Beyond sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and dual LED flash module. Talking about its selfie camera, the smartphone features an another 13-megapixel front-facing shooter with dual LED flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light situations. Apart from this, the Kult Beyond also features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security. The multifunctional fingerprint recognition button on the device not only used for unlocking the device but also it can be used to select applications, answer calls, play and pause music and movies, turn off the alarm and scroll the homepage.

In terms of connectivity, the Kult Beyond is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts two Micro-SIMs. Besides this, the handset also offers various connectivity features including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include a Fingerprint sensor (rear-mounted), Proximity sensor, Gravity sensor, and Ambient Light Sensor. On the battery front, the Kult Beyond comes loaded with a decent 3,000mAh Li-ion battery that is claimed to deliver up to 25 hours of talk time, up to 25 hours of normal usage and up to 425 hours of standby time on a single charge.
