‘La La Land’ was believed as the award season favorites, it has won away from the Golden Globe Awards. It has seven awards in this award function and is the first ever film that won the highest number of Golden Globes.
In the previous years, movies like ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’ and ‘Midnight Express’ have just won six awards each.
‘La La Land’ won the Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) Award. Ryan Gosling won the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Drama) for his marvelous performance of a jazz pianist. As expected, Emma Stone walked away with the Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) Award for her act of a wannabe actress in ‘La La Land’. The actress looked lovely in a soft-hued Valentino gown. Damian Chazelle also won the Best Director and Best Screenplay Award for the love story.
The Film’s song ‘City of Stars’ won the award for Original Song and the award winning by Justin Hurwitz.
