The Chinese technology company, Lenovo has launched the Smart Band HW01 in India, it is the company’s first wearable fitness tracker which comes with an OLED display. The Smart Band HW01 has been priced at Rs 1,999 and is exclusively available on e-commerce website Flipkart in Black colour option.
Smart Band HW01, similar to many other wearable fitness tracker bands available out there, sports a 0.91-inch (128 x 32 Pixels) OLED touch display that shows time, steps and also heart rate. The smartband has real time heart rate monitoring in “Sports Mode”, where the band automatically detects your heart rates every 15 minutes. The band also vibrates when your heart reaches the designated threshold. Additionally, it has an anti-sleep mode that automatically wakes you up through vibrations in case you tend to fall asleep outside of your designated sleep timing.
“This mode alerts you of concentration loss or dozing while driving or working at night,” Lenovo says.
The Smart Band HW01 will also alert you through vibrations when you receive some smartphone notifications from various apps like calls, messages, email, Facebook, WhatsApp and more. It also shows time as default on the screen. Users will also be able to use the smartband to capture photos or control music, when it will be connected to a smartphone.
Compatible with both Android and iOS platform, the Smart Band HW01 makes it possible to share your fitness data on social accounts like Twitter and Facebook. It supports Apple HealthKit and Google Fit, which uses sensors to record your physical fitness activities. The Smart Band HW01 is a water-resistant device with IP65 ratings and comes with a skin-friendly silicone strap which is comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. It weighs about 22 grams and features an 85mAh battery that is claimed to last up to 5 days.
