If you are planning to buy a big smartphone with a massive battery, then LG got a new device for you. South Korean electronics company LG on Friday launched a new mid-range smartphone, dubbed as the “LG X Charge” in the US. The new smartphone is now available for purchase through Comcast’s new wireless service, Xfinity Mobile at $7.50 per month for 24 months on Xfinity Mobile’s Device Payment Plan Agreement. You can also pay the full payment at $180 (approximately Rs. 11,600) without a contract. Actually, the same phone was launched in South Korea last month as “LG X500” before making its debut in the American market as the LG X Charge. The LG X Charge comes in only one body colour option- Titan Black.

LG X Charge specifications and features:

In terms of specifications, the LG X Charge sports a 5.5-inch HD In-cell touch display with a screen resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The device is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor coupled with Mali T860 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the LG X Charge is backed up by a 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. Talking about its software front, the LG X Charge runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.

For photography, the LG X Charge features a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto & touch focus, face detection, HDR and LED flash. The rear camera is also capable of shooting videos in Full HD 1080p resolution at 30 fps. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with a wide-angle lens and soft-light LED flash for taking selfies and making video calls even in low light.

In terms of Connectivity, the LG X Charge offers various connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v 4.2, GPS with A-GPS, USB OTG support, a 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB v2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the smartphone include Proximity, Compass, Accelerometer and Gyroscope sensor. On the battery front, LG X Charge comes packed with a mammoth 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support. The phone’s fast charging ability charges at double the rate of a conventional charger, that the phone will require an hour to charge the battery Zero (0) to 50 percent, and around two hours for full charge. Dimensionally, the handset measures 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs around 164 grams.
