Rejoice FRIENDS fans! Joey has chosen the one.
In the latest episode of the “Late Late Show with James Corden,” Lady Gaga asked Matt LeBlanc to choose between Monica and Rachel and guess who the “Top Gear” actor chose?
PHOEBE!
The decision was definitely a tricky one. After a little fumbling, a few “ums” and “ahs,” Matt finally said:
“Um, I’d have to say, I would go with… I would have me some Phoebe.”
“She’s very bendy,” he added amid great applause from the studio audience. And, Lady Gaga was in agreement. “That’s the correct answer, ” she said.

Matt’s character, Joey dated Rachel (Jennifer Anniston) for a short while in the beloved sitcom FRIENDS. Fans and enthusiasts hated the idea and have since debated if putting Joey and Rachel together was a horrible idea or a really horrible idea!
Rachel ruled out.
One could never really imagine Monica with Joey either – courtesy Chandler.
But put together Phoebe’s eccentricity and Joey’s sweetness, and they could make for an absolutely delightful couple. And we guess Matt knew that.
While Phoebe ended up with Mike in the series, apparently there was a time when a possible coupling of the show’s kookiest characters was being considered. In an earlier interview with People Magazine, Matt LeBlanc said:
“Towards the end we actually pitched the idea that Joey and Phoebe had been having casual sex the entire time. We’d go back and shoot all the historical scenes and just before a moment that everyone recognizes, there’s Joey and Phoebe coming out of a broom closet together. But they were like, ‘Nah.'”
They did kiss a couple times in the series and the flirting was obviously there. We for one approve! We approve!
