The work has begun for Vijay 62 as known already. Both A. R. Murugadoss and Vijay have been busy with their own respective film projects over the past few months in the form of Spyder and Mersal.

The upcoming film, which will roll into production early next year will be the third time that A. R. Murugadoss and Vijay will be joining hands after their previous blockbusters Thuppakki in 2012 and Kaththi in 2014.

Meanwhile, latest reports floating across certain sections of the media now state cinematographer Girish Gangadharan has been chosen to crank the lens for Vijay 62.

Film aficionados will know him for his work in Malayalam namely his feature film debut, Neelaksham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi followed by Kali, Angamaly Diaries and the recent Solo. It must be noted that he was given a Special Jury Mention Award during last year’s Kerala State Awards for his skills in Guppy.

His work especially towards the final moments of Angamaly Diaries went on to garner him acclaim from all corners.

We will now have to wait for an official statement from the Thalapathy 62 team regarding this interesting choice.
