The astronomy pioneer, NASA is once again making news, now with its Mars expedition scheduled for 2020. Recent claims by NASA in fixing the best landing location for the Rover to be launched in 2020 is making news among science enthusiasts all over the world. In 2015 when the mission began to send Rover to the Red Planet, NASA primed a whooping 54 locations as their probable list to land the Mars Rover. From the recent news, we can understand that there is considerable progress in their effort to land the Rover in the perfect drop zone.
Adding on to the Rover plan, NASA is also improvising the Rover landing with a possible human landing in 2030 if the present schedule is on course. Every Rover sent to the planet before, have had a specific landing location which accompanies with the goal of the Rover. In the case of Mars 2020, scientists are looking for a location that could have supported and enriched life in the ancient past.
With the improvement in finding the perfect spot for Rover landing, scientist have planned to obtain perfect high-resolution imagery of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter in order to do some scouting on the habitat. This scouting would pave the way for potential human mission to Mars. Being one of the most important discoveries to be done, NASA’s every other move with regard to this is keenly noted by the entire world.
