South Korean tech giant Samsung on Wednesday launched its two new mid-range smartphones, dubbed as “Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro” and “Samsung Galaxy J7 Max” in the Indian tech market. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 20,900 and will be made available for purchase starting June 20 (Tuesday) exclusively via e-commerce website Amazon.in. on the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is priced at Rs 17,900 and it will hit the Indian smartphone market in July. Both the smartphones will be made available in two body colour options including Gold and Black.
As an introductory offer, Samsung is offering up to Rs 800 cashback on payments made using Samsung’s unique payment feature, “Pay Mini” service on the new J series smartphones. Further, the Reliance Jio users will get an extra 120GB 4G data with the purchase of newly launched J series smartphones. Samsung Pay Mini payment solution is a light version of Samsung Pay, that works on all Android (Android 5.0 Lollipop and above) smartphones sporting an HD display without NFC feature. The Samsung Pay Mini payment feature also supports mobile payment services like UPI and mobile wallets like Paytm. The main highlights of the smartphones are a slim metal body with curved edges, Always-on display, and social cameras with augmented Reality (AR) experience.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro specifications and features:
In terms of specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro sports a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels and a 2.5D cover glass coating on top. The device is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a micro SD card. Talking about its software front, the Galaxy J7 Pro runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with company’s custom UI skin running on top. It also features an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
In terms of photography, the Galaxy J7 Pro features a 13-megapixel rear sensor with an f/1.9 aperture, auto focus, LED flash and 1080p scale full HD video recording capabilities. On the front, there is an another 13-megapixel front-facing shooter with an LED flash for capturing bright selfies and video calling even in low light.
Connectivity options on the device include Dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port for superfast charging and data transfer. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro comes packed with a 3,600mAh battery and measures 152.4 x 74.7 x 7.9 mm. The new Galaxy J7 Pro also features a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, that is housed underneath the physical Home Button of the device.

The device is powered by a 1.6GHz MediaTek MT6757V octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a micro SD card. Talking about its software front, the Galaxy J7 Max runs on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with company’s custom UI skin running on top.
In terms of optics, the Galaxy J7 Max also features a 13-megapixel rear sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, auto focus, and an LED flash. On the front, there is an another 13-megapixel front-facing shooter with an f/1.9 aperture and LED flash for capturing bright selfies and video calling even in low light.
