South Korean tech giant Samsung had launched its premium Samsung Galaxy S8+ smartphone (6GB RAM & 128GB ROM) in the Indian tech market in June this year with a price tag of Rs. 74,990. Just two months after its launch, the South Korean company on Thursday again declared a price cut for its Galaxy S8 Plus variant by Rs. 5,000. Last month, the phone also received a price cut of Rs. 4,000, now it has received a price cut of Rs. 5,000. So the Galaxy S8+ (6GB RAM & 128GB ROM) variant has received a total of Rs. 9,000 price cut just within two months. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM, 128GB storage variant is now available in India at a price tag of Rs. 65,900, which is much lesser than its earlier price (Rs. 74,900). Carried a such an attractive price tag, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ is now already made available for purchase in India through Samsung’s official online store, domestic e-commerce website Flipkart.com, Amazon.in as well as all-leading offline retail stores across the country in Midnight Black colour option.
Apart from the price slash, Samsung also provides some exciting offers on the purchase of Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant from the online platforms. Those customers, who purchase a Galaxy S8+ high-end variant, they will get a wireless charger (worth Rs. 4,499) for free. In addition, Samsung online shop is offering a Rs. 3,000 cash back to HDFC Bank credit card holders. On Flipkart, the phone comes bundled with a Reliance Jio double data benefit offering 28GB+28GB at Rs 309.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ Specifications and Features:
As far as specifications are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ comes equipped with a 6.2-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1440×2960 pixels and has a pixel density of 529ppi. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ houses a dual-edge curved Infinity display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, IP68 dust and water resistant technology. The display is certified by the UHD Alliance as Mobile HDR Premium. The Indian variant of the Galaxy S8+ comes with a 64-bit Exynos 8895 octa-Core processor that bears a quad-core unit clocked at 2.35GHz and another quad-core unit clocked at 1.9GHz. In terms of memory, the smartphone is backed up by a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Talking about its software fronts, the device runs on Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI, based on Google’s Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
For photography, the Galaxy S8+ houses a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology, optical image stabilisation and an f/1.7 aperture. The company claims that the battery is rated to deliver up to 24 hrs of talk time, up to 18 hrs of video playback, and up to 15 hrs of internet browsing. Dimensionally, the handset measures 159.5 x 73.4 x 8.1 mm and weighs 173 grams.
