After getting the grand success of original Carvaan portable speaker, domestic music publisher company Saregama has launched a new portable Bluetooth speaker, called the “Carvaan Mini” in the Indian home entertainment market. Priced at Rs. 2,490, the new Saregama Carvaan Mini will be soon available for purchase in India via company’s official online store Saregama.com, Amazon India as well as all leading offline retail stores like Croma, Reliance Digital in Red and Blue colour options. The Carvaan Mini is the successor and also the toned-down version of the company’s previous Carvaan portable digital music player, which was launched in India earlier this year. As the name suggests, the Carvaan Mini is smaller in size compared to the original Carvaan and has been designed for those who want to carry their favourite tracks with them.
In terms of design, the Carvaan Mini borrows its all design languages from the JBL Mini. If you compared to the original Carvaan, it ditches the retro radio look of the original and misses out the FM feature. The front side of the portable speaker is totally covered with a grille, while the control buttons for Saregama mode, USB, and Bluetooth are seen on the left side of the device (from the front).
To recall, the original Carvaan came with 5,000 old classic songs pre-loaded on the device and a remote control. Unlike the original Carvaan, this one comes pre-loaded with a collection of 251 most popular retro Hindi songs sung by artists like Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. Connectivity options offered by the Carvaan Mini include Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0 port and an AUX IN port. You can also stream music via your phone or music streaming apps or plug in your pen drive. The Bluetooth speaker comes loaded with a rechargeable battery that is rated to offer up to 5 hours of music playback time on a single charge.
