Dulquer Salmaan’s Solo, directed by Bejoy Nambiar hit screens on October 5 and has been receiving mixed responses among fans and critics alike. The film has been lauded by many for its bold experimentation, but has come under scrutiny among Malayalam audiences for the depiction of the climax in the fourth episode.
As a result, the said portion is said to have been altered starting yesterday (October 7) with many posing Bejoy Nambiar the question if it was his decision to go down the route. The filmmaker, a short while back, took to his Twitter space to issue a statement saying, “For all those asking about the changed ending. It has been done without my knowledge and consent.Good or Bad I stand by the film I made.”
Furthermore, when asked if Solo would once again be re-released in Tamil Nadu, the director added, “SOLO – Tamil version if given a chance to release once the strike is over will release AS IS !”
Dulquer Salmaan portrays the characters Shekhar, Trilok Siva and Rudra opposite Dhansika, Neha Sharma, Arthi Venkatesh and Sruthi Hariharan as the female leads in Solo.
