Telenor India on Thursday introduced a new voice and data-centric first recharge plan, called the “First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 448” for the residents of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle. The Telenor FRC 448 plan offers its prepaid subscribers unlimited voice calling (all network Local + STD) and 1GB 4G mobile internet data per day for 84 days on a recharge of just Rs. 448. Under this “FRC Rs. 448” recharge scheme, Telenor prepaid subscribers from the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region recharging with Rs. 448 can avail free unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of high-speed 4G data per day for a period of 84 days, totaling 84GB 4G data for the period.
Note that, the FRC 448 plan is a First Recharge Coupon that means only new subscribers from the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle can avail this FRC scheme. All Telenor prepaid subscribers can avail this offer and enjoy the network’s best value voice and data proposition in the said circle. Telenor subscribers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana region will be able to recharge the new FRC Rs. 448 recharge plan via any of the 216 Telenor stores and multi-brand retail outlets across the state.
Apart from this, there is also a first recharge plan called the FRC 148 plan, where the company offers unlimited voice calling along with 2GB 4G data for 28 days. This plan is also a First Recharge Coupon that means only new subscribers can avail this new plan. Under this Rs. 148 plan, customers recharging with Rs. 178 can avail free unlimited voice calling (All network Local + STD), along with 2GB of high-speed 4G mobile data for a period of 28 days. Note that, the “Airtel Rs. 178 plan” is applicable for new prepaid subscribers only.
Besides these two new FRC plans, the multinational telecom company has also announced an affordable recharge plan, STV 143 for its existing subscribers. The Telenor special tariff voucher (STV) 143 offers its existing customers free unlimited local & STD calls along with 2GB 4G data with a validity of 28 days. Notably, there is no capping to voice calls in FRC 448 plan, but FUP is applicable for both the FRC 148 and STV 143 plans.
With the launch of its three new plans, Telenor India is aggressively going to compete against its rival telecom operators — Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Aircel and others. Reliance Jio, Vodafone, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and other telecom operators are also offering similar kind of plans to the Telenor’s Rs. 448 plan. In the Indian telecom industry, Reliance Jio has created a new storm and changed the entire telecom scenario with its highly affordable tariff plans and forced the other telecom giants to reduce their data and calling rates. To counter Reliance Jio’s tariff plans, other leading telecom operators have already updated their tariff and first recharge plans by launching affordable data and voice-centric recharge plans in the Indian market. They have been trying really hard to come up with new strategies and aggressive plans to compete against the Reliance Jio, which has captured over 10 crore subscribers in a short period of time.
Commenting on the launch of the new three plans, Shrinath Kotian, Circle Business Head, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Telenor India, said, “We always align our efforts to the ever changing needs of our customers. With these new plans we are enabling our existing as well as new customers to make unlimited calls and talk to their loved ones without worrying about the bill. Telenor will continue to deliver maximum value for money to its customers through most affordable products and relevant services.”
