Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Ragnarok was destined to be a record-shattering blockbuster, a blitzkrieg, and it did just that yesterday. The film, which released on Friday, has been the most successful Hollywood flick in India, grossing an impressive Rs.9.91 crore!
This is the best opening for any Hollywood movie in the country, so far. And it also means that the threequel in the God of Thunder’s franchise, will definitely give a competition to the upcoming domestic releases.
Already being the best reviewed Marvel film in the history, Thor: Ragnarok has been a massive hit among fans across the globe and it’s still to be seen how much money it mints up on the global box-office, in its opening weekend.
Directed by ‘now’ famed, Taika Waititi, Ragnarok stars Hemsworth as the titular Asgardian superhero, along with Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Tom Hilddleston (Loki) and Cate Blanchett ( Hela as the antagonist).
