No doubt that India’s most anticipated film at the moment is Tiger Zinda Hai and the craze among the fans is sky-high, as only three days are left for the Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer to make the bang in theaters across the country! And the box-office predictions are already top notch and some analysts are even calling it Salman’s biggest blockbuster to date!
Helmed by director Ali Abbas Zafar (who also made the superhit 2016 movie, Sultan), Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to 2012’s Ek Tha Tiger (directed by Kabir Khan), and stars Salman and Katrina in lead roles, carrying forward, from the first part.
Still, there are also some who are not sure if the movie will have the biggest opening of all-time!
Recently, trade analyst Akshaye Rathi, who, although, believes that the film will be having a cake-walk on the box-office track, has predicted that Tiger Zinda Hai won’t be able to break one particular record!
When being asked on how much the movie will be able to amass on its opening day, Akshaye Rathi replied, “Around Rs 35.crore.”
What does this mean?
This means that Tiger Zinda Hai will not be able to break Shah Rukh Khan’s 2014 hit film, Happy New Year’s record of the biggest collection on the opening day itself-only, if the prediction gets right. Happy New Year has the all-time record of grossing Rs.44.97 crore on its opening day; which is a record by any Bollywood film, so far.
On being asked about the first weekend collections, Rathi said, “It should conveniently score a century over the first weekend.”
Distributed by Yash Raj films, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ will be released this Friday, on December 22nd, 2017!
