If you are planning to buy a selfie-centric smartphone and you have a budget of up to 23,000, then it’s a good news for you as the Vivo V5 Plus “Perfect Selfie” smartphone has received a price cut in India. The Vivo V5 Plus price in India has been slashed by Rs. 3,000 and customers now can purchase the smartphone at just Rs. 22,990, which is much lesser than its earlier price. As a reminder, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo launched their selfie-centric “Vivo V5 Plus” smartphone in the Indian market in January this year with a price tag of Rs. 27,980. Until recently, the smartphone was also available on the e-commerce platforms for Rs. 25,990 but now the Vivo V5 Plus is available at Rs. 22,990. Carried a such an attractive price tag, the Vivo V5 Plus is now already made available for purchase in India via e-commerce websites Amazon and Flipkart in Gold and Matte Black (Limited Edition) colour options. Note that, Amazon India is selling the smartphone only in the Gold colour variant.
Vivo has recently launched a new Energetic Blue colour variant of its premium camera-centric smartphone, Vivo V5s in India at Rs. 17,990. The new Vivo V5s Energetic Blue colour variant is now exclusively available on domestic e-commerce website Flipkart.com. The Vivo V5s Energetic Blue colour variant packs the perfect mix of glass and metal design, elegant looks, and luxuriousness, which are all associated with the Vivo brand.
Just in case you’d forgotten, the Vivo V5 Plus flaunts a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a scratch resistance Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass coating on top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, the device is backed up by a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Sadly, the native storage can’t be further expanded due to the absence of a microSD card slot. Talking about its software front, the Vivo V5 Plus runs on Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with company’s proprietary FunTouch 3.0 custom UI skin running on top. The smartphone also features a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, that is housed underneath the physical Home Button of the device.
In terms of photography, the Vivo V5 Plus features a 16-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and an LED flash module. The main camera features include PDAF, Ultra HD, Normal, Face Beauty, Panorama, HDR, Night, PPT, Pro, Slow motion video, Watermark, Camera Filter, Voice Capture, Touch Capture and Palm Capture. On the front, the smartphone sports a dual front camera setup that comes combined with a 20-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. The 16-megapixel camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, 1/2.78-inch sensor, a f/2.0 aperture and a 5P lens system is able to offer selfies with decent details even in low lighting conditions and produce low-noise shots. The 8-megapixel sensor is also likely to capture larger and broader frames than many of the standard cameras.
In terms of connectivity, the Vivo V5 Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone that accepts two nano-SIM cards. Apart from this, the Vivo V5 Plus also offers various connectivity options that include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, USB OTG, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer. Sensors on the device include Fingerprint (front-mounted), Ambient Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Magnetometer, and Proximity sensor. On the battery front, the Vivo V5 Plus is fuelled by a high-density 3,160mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. Dimension wise, the handset measures 152.6 x 74 x 7.3 mm and weighs 158.6 grams.
