Even the Wonder Woman has to make tough decisions when it comes to managing her life with family and profession. Yes, it’s about the newest superhero female icon-Gal Gadot. The epic movie which toppled all box-office benchmarks and created a new history, has impacted every woman, in particular, to find ways of liberation from on-going limitations.
Recently, during an interaction with the crowd at 92Y Sunday, Gadot spoke about how she manages to balance her professional and family life, “It’s one of my biggest challenges. I think that every mother who has a career can relate to it. You’re always feeling guilty that you’re not doing enough at home or you’re not working enough on the treatment, script, whatever it is.”
The actress, who’s now 32, revealed about her ways of managing the career and looking after her two kids.
“At the end of the day, your kids join your life and you bring them here and they join your life. You’re not supposed to change your life to accommodate the children,” she told.
“Now, of course, our children are always the very first up high priority, but I realized that it’s OK to have a different life. It’s OK not to have a routine and not to be like everyone else. And, it’s OK as long as the family’s together and you’re happy and you do it together, it’s great.”
Gadot shared a memory of her daughter Alma who made her go through the anxious moments, just a day before the reviews for Wonder Woman had to come out.
She said that when the reactions came out, she was thrilled and her daughter was also elated and was proud of her work.
“All of a sudden, Alma was sitting like this next to me, looking into my eye and jumped, hugging me. And she said, ‘I’m so proud of you Mommy.'”
