Soon after announcing First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 244 for its new subscribers, India’s second largest telecom operator, Vodafone on Saturday announced a new plan, called the “Campus Survival Kit” for the college students in Delhi-NCR region. The new Campus Survival Kit offers its student subscribers unlimited calling and 1GB of 3G data per day for a period of 84 days.
Under this “Campus Survival Kit” scheme, students recharging with Rs. 445 can avail free unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 2G or 3G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 84 days, totalling 84GB 3G data for the period. In addition, the company is also offering a trendy messenger bag for free as part of its Campus Survival Kit offer.
Vodafone campus survival kit also contains a booklet of deals and goodies for students including recharge vouchers, discount coupons from Ola, Zomato and various other brands along with a series of value for money life hacks.
Commenting on the launch of Vodafone Campus Survival Kit, Alok Verma Business Head, Vodafone Delhi-NCR, said, “The beginning of college life opens a world of opportunities and experiences for youngsters. While they want to use their new found freedom to explore these opportunities, their tight pocket allowance proves challenging.”
“To overcome this challenge, they are always looking for hacks and shortcuts to be resourceful and live life to the fullest. The campus survival Kit is an initiative to equip them with the great telco and non telco deals and innovative value creating hacks to help them sail through their college life without compromising,” he further added.
The British telecommunications company has also set up free Wi-Fi hotspots across the north campus region including places like Hudson Lane and Kamla Nehru market. These locations are primarily favourite hangout places of students. The “data strong network” company currently has more than 110 Wi-Fi hotspot zones across Delhi-NCR area.
The announcement comes just five days after Vodafone announced an affordable First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 244 for its new 4G pre-paid customers. Under this “FRC 244” special recharge, new subscribers recharging with Rs. 244 can avail free unlimited voice calling to the same network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 3G/4G data per day for a period of 70 days, totalling 70GB 3G/4G data for the period.
