India’ second largest telecom operator, Vodafone India and Indian telecom giant Bharti Airtel on Thursday introduced a new recharge plan, called “Rs. 449 Plan” for their prepaid subscribers. The new Rs. 449 Recharge Plan offers Vodafone and Airtel subscribers unlimited voice calling (any network Local + STD) and 1GB 3G/4G data per day for 84 days. Under this “Rs. 449 Plan” recharge scheme, Vodafone and Airtel prepaid subscribers recharging with Rs. 449 can avail free unlimited voice calling to any network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 3G or 4G (depending on the circle) mobile data per day for a period of 84 days, totalling 84GB 3G/4G data for the period. Note that, the new recharge plan is applicable for Vodafone and Airtel prepaid subscribers only. All Vodafone and Airtel prepaid subscribers with 4G-enabled handsets can avail this offer and enjoy the company’s best value data proposition in the said period. Talking about their FUP details, Bharti Airtel offers a cap of 300 minutes of outgoing calls within a single day or calls to 100 selected numbers within a week. Sadly, we don’t have any words about the Vodafone Rs. 499 recharge plan’s FUP details.

In the Indian telecom industry, the entry of Reliance Jio is a great momentum behind the new-age price war. Reliance Jio rolled out its services officially on 1 September 2016, and now it has already crossed over 100 million user base. Reliance Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan offer has already ended on July 26 (Wednesday). Instead of this, the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has recently extended its “Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan” offer with a new Rs. 399 plan. Under Reliance Jio’s new Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, Jio Prime members can avail unlimited calls and SMSes, 1GB 4G mobile data per day (84GB data for 84days) at a recharge of Rs. 399. To compete against Jio’s latest offering, Vodafone and Airtel have also launched the similar kind of recharge plans. Notably, the price & validity of the Vodafone and Airtel’s new Rs. 449 Recharge Plan will be varied depending on telecom circle.

The news comes just three days after Vodafone announced an affordable First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 244 for its new 4G pre-paid customers. Under this “FRC 244” special recharge, new subscribers recharging with Rs. 244 can avail free unlimited voice calling to the same network and any region in the country, along with 1GB of 3G/4G data per day for a period of 70 days, totalling 70GB 3G/4G data for the period.

BSNL has recently launched a special promotional offer, called the “BSNL Chaukka-444”, where it offers unlimited data including 4GB 3G data per day for a period of 90 days on a recharge of just Rs 444. So, 1GB of 3G mobile data will cost less than a rupee, which is the lowest in the telecom sector. BSNL’s Triple Ace 333 plan offers unlimited 3G data for three months with a FUP limit of 3GB per day, that means customers recharging with Rs. 333 can avail a total of 270GB 3G data for 90 days. On the other hand, Idea Cellular recently unveiled a new plan, offering 1GB data per day along with unlimited calls (same network Local+STD) at a recharge of Rs. 396. Bharti Airtel is also offering 1GB 4G data per day with unlimited calls (same network Local+STD) at a recharge of Rs. 244.
