Superstar Rajinikanth will be celebrating his birthday on 12 December this year and this day is very special to his fans and the film fraternities too. According to the latest report, the makers of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 (which is a sequel to 2011’s Robot) has decided to release the trailer of the film on Super star’s birthday that falls on 12th December. This announcement itself is a pride of moment for his fans across the globe. His fans truly could not have asked for a better birthday gift. The film shooting will be wrapped up and the date of release has been postponed to January 25, 2018.
Shankar’s 2,0, with an excellent cast lineup that includes hugely popular Akshay Kumar in antagonist role and Rajinikanth playing the double role in the lead alongside Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Riyaz Khan is expected to simultaneously release in as many as 15 languages which include Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
Directed by S. Shankar, the film is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under Lyca Productions banner. Buzz is that the Hindi theatrical rights have bee sold for Rs 80 crores, satellite rights already have been sold for Rs 100 crores and the team of Enthiran-2 bagged nearly Rs 200 crores from the Hindi market now itself. The film itself is one of the costliest films ever made in Indian cinema.
