Hrithik Roshan has always done movies which have always been Blockbuster. So we wonder does he only select those movies which are superhits.

No, Just like other actors he also has rejected a lot of great movies.

1. Shuddhi
   

   

   
   A lot of hype has been made about the movie Shuddhi even before its release. Social media went crazy when talks were released about Hrithik and Kareena to be a part of the movie Shuddhi written by Karan Johar. But then Hrithik exited the movie, there were rumors floating he left the movie because of health issues or wasn’t happy with the profit sharing with Karan Johar.

2. Dil Chahta Hai
   

   

   Farhan Akhtar originally wrote the movie keeping in mind Hrithik as Siddharth. After Hrithik rejected the role, it went to Abhishek Bachchan. But Junior Bachan also turned down the offer. After Abhishek, the role went to Aamir then Farhan Akhtar changed the roles of Akshay Khanna and Aamir Khan. Hrithik and Farhan then came together in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

3. Bunty Aur Babli
   

   

   As per an article in IMDB, Hrithik Roshan was originally approached for the role of Bunty. His previous movie with Mujhse Dosti Karoge was a super flop at the box office. Hence Hrithik opted out of the movie. Abhishek was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

4. Rang De Basanti
   

   

   Hrithik was given a role in the movie Rang De Basanti. But then he wanted the role of DJ which was already been signed by Aamir. Hence he got out the movie.

5. Swades
   

   

   Before appearing in the movie Jodha Akhbar directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. He was initially offered the role of Mohan Bhargava in Swades.

6. Main Hoon Na
   

   

   Hrithik Roshan was offered the role of Lakshman in this movie, younger brother of Ram acted by Sharukh Khan. But then he rejected the movie because the role had less content in the movie.
