Ahead of MWC 2017, South Korean electronics company, LG has Friday (FEB 24) introduced the latest addition to the LG X family, called LG X Power2, which is basically the successor to last year’s X Power. The LG X power2 comes with a massive 4,500mAh battery and ultra-fast charging facility. According to LG, the concept behind the X power2 was to bring to market, a device which can be “operated for an entire weekend without recharging.”

LG claims that the X power2 is capable of 15 hours of straight video playback and 18 hours of straight internet surfing on a single charge. The phone’s super-charging ability charges at double the rate of conventional charger, that the X power2 will require an hour to charge the battery to 50 percent, and up to two hours for full charge. Apart from this, the smartphone comes with Comfort View feature that makes reading e-Books and web pages more comfortable by reducing the amount of blue light emitted by the display. In addition, LG notes that the combination of battery and the display make this smartphone an ideal option for “power- hungry, heavy multimedia user and gaming enthusiasts”.

The LG X Power2 comes in four color variants – shiny gold, shiny titan, black titan and blue. The smartphone will go on sale starting March in the Latin America first, followed by United States, Europe, Asia and other regions. The exact pricing details of the new X family member is still not known, and it will be revealed at the time of availability. The X-series smartphones fall mostly between the budget-friendly and lower mid-range. But now, LG has only released the key specifications and features of the X power2.
