Google India celebrates this year’s Children’s Day with a doodle made by Anvita Prashant Telang, a student of Vibgyor High School, Balewadi, Pune. The search engine in Google shows the 11-year-old girl’s drawing on the homepage. Anvita won the eighth Doodle 4 Google competition for this year.
Every year Doodle 4 Google is organized to unleash creativity and thinking in young minds. Google has been organizing the event for the past seven years and putting the winning Doodle on the website for one day. This year’s theme was “If I could teach anyone anything”. The aim of this competition is to encourage the youngsters to show their creativity, passion and imagination. It was a tough competition this year as over 50 cities took part.
The competition was held in three groups. The winner of group 1 was B. Shirisha from Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Vishakhapatnam. Her drawing was about “Indoor Gardening”. Anvita was the winner of Group 2 and Akashdeep from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Doranda, Ranchi whose answer to the theme was “Water Conservation for A Better Tomorrow,” won in Group 3 category.
The company said, “Eleven year-old Anvita Prashant Telang from Vibgyor High School, Balewadi, Pune has been chosen as the national winner with her imaginative, thoughtful and inspiring doodle, titled “Enjoy Every Moment”. Her creativity and vision towards developing a better world and healthy lifestyle is well reflected through her colorful doodle where she has showcased how everyone should Enjoy Every Moment and appreciate the simple things around us and live a stress free life.” Anvita’s doodle symbolizes green, water, water life, and balloons ,which make the picture lovely and vibrant.
The national winner said ,”In the current stressful times, greatest joys of life are often hidden in simple things, thus I would like to teach everyone to take time to enjoy every moment of life and appreciate the simple things around us. “Through her picture she spread the message to people that one should enjoy every moment of their lives.
November 14 is celebrated across India as Children’s Day or Bal Divas to increase awareness of the rightsof children. Every year this day is also celebrated to remember the birth of the nation’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
