After the launch of Intex Aqua A4 earlier this week, domestic handset manufacturer Intex Technologies on Friday updated its Aqua series catalogue by launching a new smartphone called, the Aqua Crystal Plus in India. Being a budget-oriented smartphone, the Intex Aqua Crystal Plus supports 4G VoLTE and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The Intex Aqua Crystal Plus is priced at Rs. 6,799, and will be made available in White and Black colour variants across the all major retail stores in the country. The Intex Crystal Aqua Plus is basically the successor of the Intex Aqua Crystal which was launched earlier this year. However, the availability of the handset is not known at the moment.
In terms of design, the budget- oriented Intex Aqua Crystal Plus looks very similar to its younger sibling. It sports a curved-edge glass on both front and back with a metal frame all around giving it an overall premium look. The smartphone also sports metal edges and capacitive navigation buttons. The volume rockers as well as the power/lock buttons are placed on the right-hand edge of the device and the SIM-slot was situated on the left-hand edge. And dual speaker grilles are seen at the bottom edge of the device with a USB Type-C port sitting in the middle.

In terms of specifications, the Intex Aqua Crystal Plus sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 1280×720 pixels and pixel density of 296ppi. The smartphone is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6737 processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM and Mali T720 GPU to handle the graphics. The Intex Aqua Crystal Plus also comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. On the software front, the device runs on Google’s latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
In terms of photography, the Intex Aqua Crystal Plus features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and flaunts various modes such as Face beauty mode, HDR, panorama mode and many other. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling and capturing selfies.
In terms of connectivity, this dual-SIM Intex Aqua Crystal Plus smartphone offers 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n), Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, a 3.5mm audio jack and OTG support. Sensors onboard the smartphone include Proximity sensor, Gravity sensor, and Light Sensor. The Intex Aqua Crystal Plus comes packed with a 2100mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 250 hours of standby time and 6 hours of talk time. The handset measures at 140 x 71.2 x 7.4 mm and weighs about 140.2 grams.
